Repairs

We are proud to be one of the few optical shops in the Cypress/Katy area that provides an extensive range of eyewear repairs. Repairs include:

Acetate Frame Mending

  • The first step in mending a frame is to identify the type of breakages and cracks.

  • During the mending process, industrial grade adhesive or acetone is used to tack together breakage and stabilize it. Then, sturdy splints are inserted to reinforce the repair.

  • Lastly, after the frame has been mended, the legs of the splint are removed, and the frame is cleaned up.

  • Please note that every repair is unique. While many mends are virtually invisible, some repairs may be noticeable, especially with transparent frames where an internal splint is often visible.

Metal Frame Precision Welding

We provide our customers with a highly advanced welding technology that uses pulses of electricity to create precise and controlled welds.

Vintage Eyewear Restoration

Eyewear restoration involves the meticulous process of rejuvenating old or vintage frames to restore their original appearance and functionality. This practice is ideal for individuals who wish to preserve the sentimental value of their glasses or simply prefer the unique style of older frames. Restoration typically includes cleaning and repairing the frame, replacing worn-out components such as hinges and lenses, and sometimes refinishing or reconditioning the frame to address scratches and discoloration. By opting for eyewear restoration, you can extend the life of cherished frames while maintaining both their aesthetic appeal and personal significance.

Nose Pad Adaptation

Is your frame not fitting comfortably on your nose? We can now customize the fit and style of your acetate frames by adding personalized nose pads.

  • Compression Mount Arms - Sleek adjustable arms. Great for adjustability and the least amount of hardware.

  • Heat Sunk Arms - Adjustable arms sunk into the frame with heat, shown with optional Titanium nose pads.

  • Screw Mounted Arms - Adjustable arms mounted into the frame with screws. Great for frames with bold hardware and the only option for wood and horn.

  • Fused Acetate Arms - Adjustable arms with an acetate mounting point. These arms adhere to the frame without any hardware going into the frame. A great option for transparent frames.

  • Silicone Flush Mount Pads - Non-Adjustable silicone pads that provide lift and narrow the bridge.
